Last week, we took a trip to Oklahoma and I had the best time photographing 14 families!!! It was exhausting but so much fun. This family is so dear and adorable. It was so much fun to spend the afternoon with them and it is so amazing to see how these little ones have grown up over the years.
I'm a Mama of 3 and we have closed up the baby making factory, but ohhhh I was in heaven during this Fresh 48. Baby M decided to wait on me to get to Oklahoma to enter the world. Welcome to the world beautiful little one and thank you for the amazing new baby smell fix.
Ohhh February, you need more days!!! A glimpse into our month!
I did it! I finished 31 straight days of photos for my 365 project. Last year I started a 365 project and it just got lost in the shuffle with moving and travel and life.... but this year it's gonna stick. Have you started a 365?
There is something amazing about capturing a glimpse of live each day. Some photos are awesome and some happy at 11pm and are less than inspiring... but in 20 years when I look back and miss the chaos, they will be my treasures.

Tomorrow is a very important day for our country and while I would love to be there to witness and people watch, I decided it is best that we stay home.... but I couldn't resist a quick drive into DC to take a look. I hope that you enjoy these more documentary shots from our trip into the city.
This morning, my youngest and I drove into DC to just look around. Most of the roads near the main hub were blocked or parking was restricted, so we found a parking garage... the attendant told me that I had one hour before secret service would be shutting down the road, but he was glad to take my $10 for the hour haha.
So we jumped out and took a really quick walk toward the White House. I don't like politics, but I love my country and the tradition and honor of the office of President. I also deeply love our military and all that it means to be free and protected in our great country. After we loaded back up and got out of the garage, we took the long way around and went through the tunnel... side note, I realize that I am a wee bit claustrophobic when we came to a standstill in the middle of the 5 lane tunnel. We came out of the tunnel just as President-elect Trump's convoy was heading into town. I couldn't help but feel in awe of our whole democratic process and all that our country stands for. I am thankful that we all get to express our opinions and are not worried for our safety at all hours of the day.
I hope that we have a safe and uneventful Inaguration Day and that you all have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Happy Tuesday all you project crazy people! Do you have 20 project going at once like me?
I actually wrote happy Monday haha. Everyone had the day off yesterday, so it feels like a Monday to me. I hope that everyone had a great day reflecting on the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. and catching up on projects. My to-do list got a little out of control last night as I realized that this is a super short week here. The kids are out of school again on Friday for Inauguration Day! I guess it's a perk of living just a few minutes from downtown Washington D.C.
Do you follow me on INSTAGRAM? I posted this photo yesterday of our trip to Rome with this beautiful quote.
One of my favorite items to use is a project planning sheet. I keep track of each current project. I am a very visual person and while I love all of my digital apps and awesomeness, I love the feeling of marking off a to-do on a pretty piece of paper. I sometimes have to re-write my to-do lists when they get too messy though. Anyone else out there a little crazy too??? haha.
Today I am sharing my Project Planning form. I love the simplicity of the form. I write out the applicable information at the top and then describe the goals of the project, whether it is my client's goals or personal goals... depending on the project. Then I go through the form and fill out as much as possible to keep myself on track and keep the project going. I hope that this project free printable is as helpful to you! I would love to get your feedback.
