Color Inspiration Boards: Summer Edition

Hey Friends! Don’t tell anyone, but one of my absolute favorite parts of a new branding project is designing color inspiration boards!! Each new branding client completes an in-depth brand vision workbook as their first homework assignment. Through the brand vision workbook, we dig deep into their story, why, style, audience and goals for the future.

Once that is completed, my first to-do of a branding is designing the color inspiration boards. I curl up on the couch and start scrolling and scribbling color ideas and the board feel on one of my big notepads. I put hours and hours of thought into defining the client’s voice and style, not only showing them what they think they want, but pushing them to think outside of their comfort zone.

Many times we discover colors far outside their original thoughts. Branding is not a pre-made, one size fits all journey. It is the first impression of your business and you want to make sure you took the time to live with your brand and develop an end product that with last for years to come.

This set of inspiration boards were from a recent branding/website project that I will be blogging about soon. The client wanted a feminine, soft, yet strong and confident feel. I just love how they all turned out. You’ll have to guess which one we ended up going with!!

I hope that you loved these color inspiration boards and the warm summer feel! Leave me a comment below and let me know what your favorite colors were!!
