Hello friends! It’s been quite a long time since I’ve blogged. I miss writing and sharing with everyone. The reality of what school will look like this fall is full of anxiety, sadness and frustrations. The school days will include temperature checks, medical questions asked, masks and dividers at desks. I worry, but I am hoping for the best and the wisdom for our family to choose the best options and to pivot if our choices aren’t working for our family. I hope the same for you and your families.

A few years ago I shared a note for school printable…. for those of you who followed me on my DIY lifestyle and parenting blog, you may remember it. I’ve revamped the colors and updated a few prompts and excited to share it with you today!!! These school notes are great to have in the car for those morning when you are scrambling to find a scrap piece of paper to send a message to the teacher… I have sent multiple receipts in backpacks with a note scribbled that includes “I’m so sorry this is on a Target receipt” hahaha. Anyone else??? or maybe it’s just me haha.

The printable comes with two notes per page. Just print it out and cut in half. You can get very fancy with a paper cutter for perfectly sized notes!

I’ve also saved a single note as a .jpg image for those of you who use your iPad and pencil for writing out notes. I personally use the app Procreate to pull in the image and then add a layer to write on the note. Then all you have to do is save the image and send it off to your student’s teacher or office.

May this coming school year be full of learning, safety, kindness and grace. Remember to have an extra amount of kindness and patience as everyone tries to do what is right for our kids and staff members with so many scary variables to think through. I’ll be making some thank you gifts for our teachers because I am sure they are going to need a little extra love as they deal with the 2nd graders sling shot-ing their masks across the room and saying every cuss word they heard during their time home…. from watching non-stop Back to the Future and the occasionally slip from Mom and Dad (I mean nothing like that happened in our house at all…. Lord help us!!!)
