Trip Review: Part 1
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind, getting ready to move the family from Florida to Oklahoma... finishing up school for the two older kids, music concerts and packing/organizing. This past weekend, we set out with two very loaded down vehicles, a hormonal cat, and a baby who's not too fond of the car seat. So far we have stopped in two very pretty locations. I'm sure that I will have plenty of photos to share once we get to the end... but I know that we have family who wants to see photos along the way, so here you go! A few shots from the beach in Destin, Florida and the streets of New Orleans, LA.
The beaches of the Gulf coast are my favorite... The sand is snow white and the water has such beautiful turquoise blues and greens. We have been lucky enough to live in Pensacola twice. It was great to drive through and see familiar places. It is a beautiful place to visit if you have the chance.
We have driven by New Orleans many times, but never stopped... my son was a little uneasy by all of the girly bars on Bourbon St. and the colorful collection of people. We made it all better at the end with some delicious beignets and hot chocolate. I could have walked around for hours taking photos of the beautiful scenery and people.
Happy Mom picture. Any time that I get to walk on the beach and eat crab legs is a perfect day :) Hope that you are having a great day and getting ready for a wonderful Christmas. We will be in a hotel this year... hoping that they don't mind Mom sneaking in a tree and some lights, fingers crossed!
